Did you know that Soest and surroundings consist of 40% nature? During your walk you can marvel at the beautiful landscapes that Baarn and Soest have to offer. In and around Baarn and Soest are unique nature areas with alternating sandy plains and dunes, woodland, heathland and beautiful historic sights. Every day you can choose a distance of 6, 10, 20 or 30 km.  If you opt for a weekend registration, you will walk the same distance for two days. If you want to participate for 2 days, but a different distance per day, that’s also possible! On Saturday you can enjoy the Soester Duinendag and on Sunday the Baarnse Paleisdag.

Soester Duinendag

Let the overwhelming sandy plains and the areas of the Korte Duinen and Lange Duinen surprise you on the Saturday of the Pink Ribbon Soester Wandelweekend. The 10 km goes through the Korte Duinen. The 20 km route combines the Korte Duinen with the Lange Duinen and Landgoed De Paltz of the Utrecht Landscape. You climb the Soester Hoogt (51 m above NAP), the mountain that gives Soesterberg its name. You walk through the mysterious strub forests on the nature trail De Stompert, a former military area. The 30 km route closes the route spectacularly with a walk over Soeterberg Air Base, where you walk along the former airstrip and through the shelter area. Experience the panoramic view from the runway and enjoy the special nature.

Baarnse Paleisdag

On Sunday history is the key element. From the start you will walk alongside the old church of Soest, headed to the Baarnse Bos (forest). The Baarnse Bos belong to Paleis Soestdijk in the past, a walking area for the Dutch Royalties. Unique aspects of the forest will be visible, straight avenues that end up at inpressive water areas, the Kleine (small) and Grote (big) Kom. Also ther Berceau is extraordinary, a corridor of leaves that will lead you to the Koninklijke Stallen and Paleis Soestdijk.

Besides the unique nature you will also spot the historical centre of Baarn. The course will follow cosy streets toward the river Eem with a stunning view over the water en the nice polder area.On the way you will pass by the Cantonspark and the Pekingtuin, both parks constructed by a businessman from Asia which is visible through the shape and the exotic treespecies.

6 km (Family Walk)

On both days there will be a 6 kilometre, Family Walk in the area of Soest. This course is both wheelchair and buggy/stroller proof, so everyone can enjoy the Pink Ribbon Soester Wandelweekend. On the way you will find a special break location. After the finish you will receive a unique memory to remind you of this beautiful day.
